|Behind the Mask|
Kallem stands at five foot, four inches and has a muscular frame. He has darkened skin from extended periods of sun exposure. His dark brown hair is often left shaggy, but swept in a general direction of right to left. Kallem has dark grey eyes and tattoos on his cheeks.
Kallem has a "heart-of-gold" personality. He always tries to do the right thing and is nice to everyone he meets – unless them give him reason otherwise.
Kallem was born in the Denerim Alienage. Born to a Dalish father, who died before Kallem was born, and a mother who was a Elven servant, Kallem was raised like any other Elven child: to be proud of who he was and proud to be an elf. His life was pretty standard for an elf. He was put down by humans, treated like dirt, the works.
One day, a glorious event was happening in the village. Two marriages were happening on the same day. But this wasn't the most important thing that day; Kallem's mother decided to reveal to him his father's true origins as a Dalish elf and showed Kallem his father's hunting armor and swords. All was going well, until a drunk noble came into the alienage and took several women during the weddings. Several others chased after the women shortly after, one being Kallem's mother. Several hours passed and none of the elves came back.
With no time to mourn due to angry guards coming to the alienage, Kallem knew he had to run. He remembered that his friend Po ran a few weeks ago to find the Dalish, hopefully Kallem could find him. He gathered his father's armor and weapons together and left. Kallem managed to pass by some unsuspecting guards by claiming he was delivering for a local noble.
Several days had passed since entered the forest before he came upon a clearing. In the clearing were markings of fires and tracks of wheels. Hoping it was the Dalish, Kallem followed the tracks. It took nearly a week, but he was found by a Dalish hunter who thought Kallem was a human. The Dalish brought him in to the clan and Kallem was happily welcomed. Slowly, Kallem learned their ways as the clan moved north to Sundermount.
